    This Privacy Policy explains how Aseta handles information when you use the app.

    1. Summary

    • Aseta is an offline-first app.
    • Your financial records are stored locally on your device by default.
    • Aseta does not operate an application server for storing your personal finance data.
    • Optional sync/backup/restore is provided through your own iCloud account.
    • Optional import/export is file-based and controlled by you.
    • We use Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance Monitoring for stability and performance diagnostics.
    • Diagnostic telemetry is not linked to your finance records and is not used to identify you.

    2. Information We Process

    2.1 Data you create in Aseta

    This includes the data you enter, such as account names, balances, snapshots, tags, and notes.

    • Storage location: on-device local storage.
    • Transmission: not sent to an Aseta backend server, because Aseta does not provide one for this data.

    2.2 Optional iCloud sync data

    If you enable iCloud sync, Apple iCloud services handle synchronization and backup under your Apple account.

    • We do not receive your Apple ID credentials.
    • iCloud processing is subject to Apple's terms and privacy practices.

    2.3 Optional import/export files

    If you export data (for example CSV), files are created and managed in locations you choose.
    If you import files, parsing is performed in-app on your device.

    2.4 Diagnostic and performance data

    We use Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance Monitoring to detect crashes, regressions, and performance issues.

    Typical signals may include:

    • crash stack traces
    • app version and OS version
    • device model metadata
    • performance timing metrics

    This telemetry is used only for reliability and performance improvement.
    It is not used for advertising and is not intentionally tied to your in-app financial content.

    3. How We Use Information

    We process information to:

    • provide core app functionality
    • support optional sync/backup/restore via iCloud
    • support optional file import/export
    • maintain app reliability, fix crashes, and improve performance

    4. Data Sharing

    We do not sell your personal data.
    We do not share your finance records with an Aseta application server.

    Limited sharing may occur with service providers solely for technical operation:

    • Apple iCloud (if you enable sync/backup)
    • Google Firebase Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring (diagnostic telemetry)

    5. Data Retention

    • Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, uninstall the app, or clear it.
    • iCloud copies (if enabled) are retained according to your Apple account settings.
    • Diagnostic telemetry retention is managed by Firebase service policies and project settings.

    6. Security

    We apply reasonable safeguards for app integrity and transport security where applicable.
    No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we continuously improve safeguards and dependency hygiene.

    7. Your Choices and Controls

    You can:

    • use Aseta without enabling iCloud sync
    • export and back up your data via files
    • delete local data from your device
    • control Apple iCloud settings from your Apple account/device settings
    • limit app diagnostics via platform-level privacy controls where available

    8. Children's Privacy

    Aseta is not directed to children under 13 (or the relevant digital age in your jurisdiction).

    9. International Use

    If diagnostic telemetry is processed by Firebase infrastructure, processing may occur in regions outside your own.

    10. Changes to This Policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and relevant documentation pages.
